After a multi-year construction project that literally spans Wilshire Blvd and invited many a salty design-related comment online, LACMA has finally unveiled the new David Geffen Galleries.
(I think it looks pretty cool FWIW).
The Museum is open until 6pm most weeknights (closed Wednesday) so if you can get a client or team there around 4:30-5pm, you can wander around til close and grab dinner nearby.
Buzz about the opening: NYT article, LA Times TikTok.
A couple dinner options close by:
Car option 1 (or 10-15 min walk, lol): Little Ethiopia is a few blocks away and is a genuinely unique and memorable LA experience. Lalibela is an excellent choice (Infatuation).
Car option 2: République is a classic entertaining spot nearby as well with good food and relatively easy to get a reservation (Infatuation Review).
Added Value: I once took a team to the Broad Museum and dinner downtown shortly after it opened. Honestly, I was skeptical if my clients would be interested, but it turned out to be one of my most memorable outings. Everyone got to check the box of a buzzy cultural experience and wander around on their own without needing to listen to me yap, which all made for great dinner convo after.
