Electric Bleu is a hip French restaurant near the corner of Centinela and Palms. If you, like me, have ever spent some time crunching down Centinela during rush hour, you’ve probably seen their distinctive blue facade.
The restaurant was one of 11 LA restaurants recently added to the Michelin Guide and was also featured in the LA Times for the quality of its <$100 tasting menu.

Added Value: Somewhere during my lifetime restaurants transitioned from ordering your own food to the 2-3 tiny plates per person situation we have today.
In my experience, this often ends up with collective decision paralysis where I make an awkward final approval on all orders. My new technique is to just convince the table to let the server create a tasting menu for us, so no one chooses, and everyone gets to experience the surprise and delight moment.
All this to say, I appreciate a good tasting menu option like Electric Bleu for taking so much of the decision-making off everyone’s plate.
