Short intro copy: Welcome to the first edition of MeetWell. This is going to be a work in progress, but the idea is to save you some time researching client entertaining ideas.

Foodshop is a monthly private dining experience at a chic industrial warehouse space in Venice. It’s BYOB, the menu is fixed, and food is served family style at long communal tables.

The menu is shared via email early in the month with available dates often including Thursdays (here’s an example menu).

Takeaway: In addition to being a generally cool, unique LA experience, it’s not overly expensive, and due to the size of the space, they can usually accommodate adding new people in case more clients want to come.

Clients into comedy? Netflix is bringing its infamous comedy tour back to LA with comedy’s biggest names with lots of excellent mid-week client entertaining options.

After a multi-year construction project that literally spans Wilshire, and invited many salty online design-related comments, LACMA is set to open the new David Geffen Galleries on May 4th.

The Museum is open until 6pm so if you can get a client or team there around 4:30-5pm, you can wander around til close and grab dinner at the Academy Museum’s swanky restaurant Fanny’s down the block.

Takeaway: I took a team to the Broad Museum and dinner downtown shortly after it opened. I was skeptical if my clients would be interested in that type of event, but it turned out to be one of my more memorable client entertaining experiences.
